Average Reviews:
(More customer reviews)This show could not cover anymore stereotypes than it does. Band kids, bad boys, Christian do gooders the list goes on and on. The acting is stilted, the script is laughable and the end result is a comedy with a foot in the Juno-like pregnancy craze.
Molly Ringwald is disappointing and just sad. The father is an idiot. The sister has one dimension. The friends are classic, the dumb one and the smart one. The boyfriend makes me want to shudder, could Ben be a bigger creeper? Grace is beyond naive and her boyfriend is just ew. Adrian is almost real, but destroyed by her sexual exploits. Ricky is the typical rebel who of course has a troubled past. And everyone in the school can talk to the loving guidance counselor any second of any day without any fear. I feel bad for Amy, living in a world full of such crazy people! As for Amy though, she's...well she's pretty dull.
Almost every scene takes place in a practically empty hallway showing that the school there must have 20 minute passing times and a student population of 30. With each passing show, it seems like less and less happens except for romantic triangles.
The people who write this show must be laughing at the teenage population as a whole. They have to believe we're all stupid, or else this show wouldn't exist. A drama about a pregnant teenager could have done so well and enlightened people, but this, this is like a soap opera mixed with a health video. They try to nail down teenage life and miss every aspect except that teens go to school. Even the clothing is ridiculous and unreal. No one ever goes to class, has homework, does their respective hobbies, works, or do anything normal.
That being said, this show is a riot if viewed as a spoof.
