This in my oppion is when diagnosis murder really started to take off gone are jack and delores and in comes jessie travis played by charlie schlater(police academy 7 and 18 again). I have always been of the oppion that the strength of the program lies not in the fact that their is a murder every week but the strength lies in the relationships between the principal characters ie mark treats jessie and amanda as part of his family and that comes across on screen and as such you the viewer feel part of that same family. I think that is largely down to the legend that is dick van dyke and his perfomance on the screen. I can't wait for this season to be released hopefully the other seasons will come out as quickly as the previous seasons
