Sony has released a collection of "Fan Favourites" DVD titles, taken from several of their most popular back-catalogue TV series. These are specially-priced for those who only want a small sampling of episodes from their favourite show, or even for a budget Christmas stocking stuffer. Whether or not the company actually approached "fans" to vote for their "favourites" is very suspect, however, because the episodes featured here are presented in their original order, just like on the Complete Second Season set from which they originate.
This BEWITCHED disc features the first nine episodes from the second season. *Note: these are the colorized versions.
"Alias Darrin Stephens" - Learning that she's going to have a baby, Samantha (Elizabeth Montgomery) can't wait to tell Darrin (Dick York), who's been missing ever since Aunt Clara turned him into a chimpanzee.
"A Very Special Delivery" - When she overhears him ordering Sam around the house, Endora (Agnes Moorehead) casts a spell over Darrin so he'll understand more clearly how Sam is feeling.
"We're in for a Bad Spell" - A descendant from the Salem witch trials is doomed to be a thief, unless Sam and Darrin can find a way to lift the spell.
"My Grandson, the Warlock" - Mistaking the Tate's baby for Samantha's, Maurice (Maurice Evans) whisks the child away to begin his training.
"The Joker is a Card" - A feuding Darrin and Endora are held at the mercy of Uncle Arthur (Paul Lynde) for one of his great practical jokes.
"Take Two Aspirins and Half a Pint of Porpoise Milk" - Contact with a black Peruvian rose causes Samantha to lose her powers, so Darrin must assemble the ingrediants for the antidote.
"Trick or Treat" - Endora transforms Darrin into a moon-baying werewolf when he forbids Samantha to attend the annual Halloween ceremony.
"The Very Informal Dress" - Aunt Clara (Marion Lorne) provides Samantha and Darrin with spiffy new clothes for an important society function...
"And Then I Wrote" - Samantha needs some extra inspiration when she decides to write a play celebrating the Civil War Centennial.
