(More customer reviews)I just got my house and it's great! Most who are interested in this set probably already know each of the 210 episodes by heart, so I'll describe the packaging. It looks so cute on display. The roof lifts up to reveal the nine cases for each season. They look like minis of the individual season cases with sturdy covers that open up like books. They are set in the house at different heights so they are easy to pull out. Inside there is the episode list and photos like with the individual seasons. The discs are in cardboard sleeves that have a photo of one of the 5 main characters with two quotes. I know a lot of people are concerned about the cardboard sleeves scratching the discs. I will admit, they do fit rather tightly in the sleeves, but each sleeve has a paper backing that seems to protect the disc from scratches. I have not noticed scratches on the ones I've pulled out so far but, I haven't played these discs enough yet to really test it.
What I really like about the box set, besides it being so cute, is that it takes up less room than those big, bulky individual season sets. It takes up a little more than six individual seasons worth, so that frees up a lot of space in my cabinet. The discs have the same extras as the individuals seasons, plus you also get a book with the shooting script for "The Finale." The autographs of the writers are facsimiles on the cover. If the discs hold up (I've heard of disc protectors you can snap on called "D-Skins," but I'm not sure they will fit with this setup) and with the reasonable price you can get this for on Amazon right now, I see no reason to keep those bulky individual sets, so up for sale they go!

(More customer reviews)A consistently funny sit-com. The situations are so typical of a lot of families (including mine!), I'm really laughing at myself.
Season One is a good one with some interesting guest stars. Here's a brief episode guide.
1. Pilot: Debra doesn't want Ray's family to come over for her birthday.
2. I Love You: Debra doesn't know why Raymond has trouble saying "I love you".
3. I Wish I Were Gus gs: Jean Stapleton. Ray is chosen to deliver a eulogy at a funeral where his mother and her feuding sister have a reunion.
4. Standard Deviation: Robert administers IQ tests to Raymond and Debra.
5. Look, Don't Touch: Ray feels guilty about being attracted to a waitress at Nemo's.
6. Frank, the Writer gs: Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (Himself): Ray's dad wants to write his own column.
7. Your Place or Mine? Ray's mother leaves her husband and moves in with Ray and Debra.
8. In-Laws gs: Robert Culp: Ray asks his parents to get along with Debra's parents during a visit.
9. Win, Lose or Draw: Ray ignores his father's advice at a poker game and loses all his money.
10. Turkey or Fish gs: Robert Culp: Debra decides to cook fish for the family Thanksgiving dinner.
11. Captain Nemo: Debra tells Ray that he should be spending time with his kids instead of coaching basketball.
12. The Ball: Ray finds out that his father lied to him about a gift baseball being autographed by Mickey Mantle.
13. Debra's Sick: Ray has to take care of Debra and the kids when Debra gets the flu.
14. Who's Handsome? After hearing Debra tell Robert how handsome he is, Ray gets a make-over.
15. The Car: Debra doesn't like driving the old car Ray bought from his parents, but likes it even less when she learns why Ray likes it so much.
16. Diamonds gs: Barry Bonds (Himself): Ray finds out that the diamond on Debra's ring is a fake.
17. The Game: A game of "Scruples" gets the family arguing about honesty.
18. Recovering Pessimist gs: Katarina Witt (Herself), Tommy Lasorda (Himself), Marv Albert (Himself): Ray allows Debra to persuade him to become more optimistic but then is accused by his family of being big-headed.
19. The Dog gs: Kristie Yamaguchi (Herself): Ray brings home a stray dog, but Robert bonds with the dog.
20. Neighbors gs: Tommy Lasorda (Himself): Neighbors are upset with Ray's parents.
21. Fascinatin' Debra gs: Desmond Howard (Himself): The Barones attract the interest of a popular radio psychologist whose original intent was to interview Debra.
22. Why Are We Here? An episode where Ray and Debra recall how they ended up living across the street from Ray's parents.

The parents go in and out of Ray and Debra's house as they please. Although probably not as funny as the third season, this season is still a solid one. The supporting staff (Patricia Heaton, Brad Garrett, Peter Boyle, and Doris Roberts) are often funnier than Ray Romano! A generous season with 25 episodes.
1. Ray's on TV: Ray gets a chance to appear on a sports chat show.
2. Father Knows Least: Ray uses a new technique that he learned in parenting class on his parents.
3. Brother: Ray and Robert go out on the anniversary of Robert's divorce.
4. Mozart: Ray tries to teach Ally a lesson about quitting piano.
5. Golf: Ray feels guilty after he tricks Debra into letting him play golf.
6. Anniversary: At his parent's 40th wedding anniversary celebration, Ray learns that his parents were once separated.
7. Working Late Again: Ray sets up his office at home.
8. The Children's Book: Debra decides to write a children's book and asks Raymond for help.
9. The Gift: Ray gets his dad an expensive aquarium.
10. High School: Ray takes Debra to his 20th high school reunion.

22. Six Feet Under: Raymond finds out that he's a quarter inch shorter than he used to be.
23. The Garage Sale: Debra is done having kids and wants to sell the cribs and baby clothes at a garage sale.

(More customer reviews)Everybody Loves Raymond: Complete Ninth Season marks the end of this excellent television series. Fortunately, we are able to enjoy the series over and over again on DVD. This season somehow kept things as fun and fresh as the first 8 seasons. How the series was able to maintain its excellence for such a long period of time is a testament to the great cast. The interplay between the actors is excellent and it is difficult to remember that these people are really not related. It is also rather sad to watch the final episodes as Peter Boyle's health was waning. In spite of this, he was still great in the show. This season features the following episodes. Ironic that the last two shows were as strong as any in the series. My only complaint is that there are only 16 episodes rather than the typical 22-23. But that is just a desire for more ELR.

Episode 2: Not So Fast: Amy puts her personal touch on their new house.
Episode 3: Angry Sex: A fight between Marie and Debra leads to Ray and Debra's night of passion.

Episode 6: Boys' Therapy: The guys go to therapy, or do they?
Episode 7: Debra's Parents: Debra's divorced parents come for dinner.
Episode 8: A Job for Robert: Marie wants grandkids from Amy and Robert.
Episode 9: A Date for Peter: Trying to hook up Amy's Freaky brother Peter.
Episode 10: Favors: Marie blackmails Debra.
Episode 11: The Faux Pas: An inadvertent insult.
Episode 12: Tasteless Frank: Frank salts Marie's lasagna.
Episode 13: Sister-In-Law: Ray calls Amy a chatterbox and she finds out.
Episode 14: The Power of No: Ray chooses the NBA over Debra.

A stellar 5 star season to wrap up a 5 star series.

1. The Angry Family - At a school open house, Michael gets up and reads the title to his story, "The Angry Family." The shocked Barones fear the worst as Michael tells the saga of a clan that is constantly arguing.
2. No Roll! - When Debra tells Ray that he's too selfish in bed and that she wants a little variety he goes out and buys an adults only board game to spice things up.
3. Odd Man Out - Frank is so green with envy about Marie's new friendship with Marco that he forces Marco to choose either Marie or him as a friend.
4. Ray's Ring - When Ray loses his wedding ring on a business trip Debra gets jealous and tries to get back at him by going to the supermarket without her wedding ring.
5. Marie's Sculpture - Ray and Debra are horrified when Marie presents them with an abstract sculpture she made in art class which bears a striking resemblance to a part of the female anatomy.
6. Frank Goes Downstairs - Ray tells Frank that he and Debra fell down the stairs so Frank tries fixing the stairs but ends up in the hospital.
7. Jealous Robert - Marie and Debra set up Amy with Gianni to get Robert jealous so he'll want to get back together with Amy but their plan backfires when Amy and Gianni hit it off.
8. It's Supposed to Be Fun - While the Barones watch their sons play basketball, Ray finds that Geoffery is having trouble getting the hang of the game.
9. Older Women - It's the first Thanksgiving since Debra's parents have been divorced and Debra is thrilled that both her parents have agreed to have dinner with the Barones. However, she soon learns that her Father is bringing a date.
10. Raybert - Robert meets a beautiful woman who is a big fan of Ray's sports column. But when the woman mistakes Robert for Raymond, Robert doesn't set her straight.
11. The Kicker - While enjoying a college football game, Frank catches a football from a record setting field goal and refuses to give it back to the kicker.
12. Season's Greetings - When Marie receives a letter from a relative detailing how wonderful her life is and how well her kids are doing, it drives Marie insane with jealousy. She enlists Debra's help in writing a Barone family Christmas letter.
13. Tissues - Debra grudgingly agrees to let Ray be more involved in daily decision making.
14. Snow Day - Held captive at Frank and Marie's during a snowstorm, Debra, Ray and Amy actually find themselves having a great time.
15. Cookies - When Ray learns that Troup Leader Peggy and her daughter have targeted his parents house as a spot to make a big sale for themselves during the Frontier Girls' selling competition, it's war.
16. Lucky Suit - Robert is ecstatic when he is recommended for an FBI job. That is, until it becomes apparent that Marie's intrusive ways may be his undoing.
17. The Skit - At a party, Ray and Debra do a dead-on impersonation of Frank and Marie that brings down the house. But when Frank and Marie do a Ray and Debra imitation, they don't find it funny at all.
18. The Breakup Tape - Ray becomes insanely jealous when he realizes that Debra has held on to gifts from former boyfriends.
19. Talk to Your Daughter - Armed with research and much preparation, Ray is ready to speak with Ally about the facts of life only to find that Ally's interest has changed from where babies come from to the meaning of life.
20. A Vote for Debra - Debra decides to run for school president but Ray isn't sure he can handle the twins by himself during all those meetings so he votes against her.
21. Call Me Mom - Marie gets upset when she sees Ray calling Debra's mother "Mom" so Ray tells Debra that maybe she should start calling Marie "Mom".
22. Mother's Day - Debra takes offense when Marie accuses her of being rude and the two wind up fighting and not speaking to each other.
23. The Bigger Person - The feud between Debra and Marie continues when Ray realizes that he can use the feud to get Debra to do almost anything for him.

(More customer reviews)I'm so happy to see King of Queens 9th and final season will be released September 25th, but at the same time I'm so sad to see it go! It was in my opinion the best,funniest,entertaining sitcom ever on tv. Life will not be the same without Doug, Carrie, Arthur, Deacon, Spence and Danny making us laugh until tears start to fall and our sides split! Every episode was just hilarious and Kevin James and Jerry Stiller could make you laugh just looking at them. All great things must come to an end, but it takes time to get over shows that you feel like you know the characters personally and have been growing older with for years.

(More customer reviews)I am so impressed with the timeliness in which they are releasing the ELR seasons on DVD. This is the way it should be! Here's the episode guide for Season 5:
1. Italy (Part 1) - When Marie surprises the family with the news that she's treating them all to a two-week vacation in Rome, everybody loves the idea--except Raymond.
2. Italy (Part 2) - When Marie surprises the family with the news that she's treating them all to a two-week vacation in Rome, everybody loves the idea--except Raymond.

3. The Wallpaper - After Ray and Debra lose their cool when Frank and Marie pull the ultimate unannounced visit to their home, Ray finally reaches the breaking point with his parents and kicks them out of his house.
4. Meant to Be - Robert finds himself in the most unlikely position of having to choose one of three women--girlfriend Amy, ex-wife Joanne or Italian bombshell Stefania--to share the future with him.
5. Pet Cemetery - Ray inadvertently commits "pet-slaughter" on Ally's hamster while Debra and the kids are away for the weekend.

6. The Author - The competition for attention between Ray and Robert reaches an all-time high with the brothers ending up in a fight. 14. Ray's Journal - Ray is mortified when he realizes that Marie used to read the personal journal he kept as a teenager.
15. Silent Partners - Ray and Debra discover that they have nothing to talk about except the kids.
16. Fairies - Ray is upset when he finds out that Debra signed up Michael and Geoffrey to play fairies in a school play.
17. Stefania Arrives - Robert gets a surprise visit from Stefania, the woman with whom he fell head over heels in love when the Barones vacationed in Italy.

18. Humm Vac - Ray purchases a new state-of-the-art vacuum cleaner from an attractive door to door saleswoman and it ignites a housekeeping war between Marie and Debra.

19. The Canister - Tempers flare when Marie accuses Debra of not returning a borrowed canister that holds sentimental value and Debra insists that she has already given it back. Debra is then horrified when she discovers that she does indeed still have the canister in her possession.
20. Net Worth - Debra becomes angry when Ray contributes $1,000 to his friends' hair brained scheme to open a go-cart business without first consulting her.

21. Let's Fix Robert - Marie gathers Robert's ex-girlfriends Amy and Stefania and his female police partner, Judy, together so they can dissect his character in an effort to help her better understand why Robert can't commit to a relationship.

22. Say Uncle - When Ray realizes that his kids would rather spend time with their Uncle Robert than with him, he decides to do something about the situation.

23. Separation - Debra gets upset when she finds out that her parents have separated.

24. Frank Paints the House - When Ray and Debra find Frank painting their house, they find out that Marie put him up to the job due to his retirement. But, when Frank paints it a color they don't like, Ray fires him.
25. Ally's Birth - As Ray escorts Ally to a father-daughter dance, he realizes how grown up and independent his daughter has become. As a result, he begins to recall the day, nine years ago, when the Barone clan welcomed her into the family, but not without incident.
