(More customer reviews)We saw the "Quack Quack" song on the beginning of a Barney movie and loved it so much I purchased this video. It's terrific! My 16-month old daughter loves it and so does the rest of the family (my 7 year old daughter, my husband and I). She dances and claps and says "Baw" everytime the ball comes on between songs. I find myself singing or humming the tunes even when the movie is over - they are very catchy and a nice change to the Barney songs I've heard a billion times in the last 7 years (not that we don't like Barney too)! I will enjoy watching my daughter grow with this tape and learn to follow along with the dance steps and songs. She has already learned how to do the quack, quack and cocka-doodle-doo motions from the repetition at the beginning of the Barney movie. It's too cute! I HIGHLY recommend this for young children of all ages. I'm sure it would be great in a daycare setting too - the more the merrier!

(More customer reviews)I am giving 5 stars because it's that good to me. My 3 year old son loves the dvd and I have to say I enjoyed it as well. An added bonus to me was, getting to see all the "real" animals. The wiggles are dressed as animals and that is cute and makes the kids laugh, but it also has lots of live animals. And of course all kids love animals. If you are a wiggles fan or if your little one loves animals you can't go wrong with this one. It's full of toe tapping songs, and lots of wiggle fun. I will have to say I missed seeing Benny in this dvd. I guess he has left the wiggles. Captain feathersword hasn't went anywhere:) He's still a ball of fun for the kids. The captain and Anthony is our favorites. Get the dvd, your kids will love it!

(More customer reviews)My boys and I love this video. We also purchased "Pop go the Wiggles" this summer, which is cute, but not as much fun as this one. As much as I've said I'm sick of the Wiggles (we're going on 3 years of listening to them!!), I must say I find myself dancing to this one with my 3 and 5 year old boys. It's a lot of fun.

(More customer reviews)Now my 3-year old definitely does not like Barney as much as Gavin, my 18 month old. Gavin loves the music and singing and I love the great Barney themes. He teaches the importance of manners, playing nice with others, and more! There are 19 Barney songs throughout the DVD, with my favorite "Clean Up." Honestly, Barney is not one of my favorites to watch, but he does teach good values and the music is catchy. It is also cute because the DVD begins with Baby Bop forgetting her manners, and Barney teaches the importance of being polite. I think this DVD would be great for kids as young as 1 years old and it is basically a great collection of Barney favorites. It is 65 minutes long which I think is just right.

Barney is one of those characters who you can trust to teach your children the benefit of goodness, kindness, friendship and loyalty.
The IE Twins were very excited about the concept of the Sharing is Caring Video as we recently just took a lot of items to donate to a local Fireman's event.
The behaviour displayed by Baby Bop as she reluctantly (initially) did not want to part with her precious treasures demonstrated to the girls the benefit of selflessness as Baby Bop eventually realized that sharing was truly showing you cared.
Barney explains concepts like "being a good neighbor", "sharing" and "listening" in a way that toddlers and bigger kids can understand.

As a big proponent of reading and using one's imagination. I enjoyed the concept behind Barney's Book Fair.
Every time I think that my girls have "out grown" the big purple dinosaur I am pleasantly surprised to find him and his friends creating a new experience or teaching a new lesson that will intrigue and sustain my daughters' attention.
The book that accompanies the DVD is nicely illustrated and will help your child learn to count. Barney videos are truly a staple of childhood.Barney: Book Fair

The Wiggles: Big, Big Show (2009) Review

(More customer reviews)Our two year old daughter recently discovered The Wiggles (Going Bananas and You Make Me Feel Like Dancing being her favorites), so when I saw this was being released I pre-ordered without even knowing what it was. Well, here's what it is: a concert taping of The Wiggles performing in Sydney. Needless to say, our daughter loved it. The songs, the dancing, and she also got quite a kick out of watching the kids dancing in the audience.
I think the performance goes on a little long, and I think the camerawork could have been improved. But heck, I enjoyed it too. The songs from The Wiggles are simple, catchy, and easy to remember. That means I can sing and dance along with my little girl, and a good time is had by all. It was fun to see the parents in the audience singing along as well. Well done, Wiggles...well done!
