(More customer reviews)Demetri Martin's low-key, child-like comedy is an awful lot of fun to watch. One part Zach Galifianakis, one part Mitch Hedburg and with a dash of early Pee Wee Herman on Ritalin, Demetri performs as though he's a talented but strange kid putting on a show for his parents. Through stand up ("I like to stand around ATMs, wait until someone punches in their PIN number and say, 'Got it!" and run away."), odd train of thought music, graphs and pie charts of observations he's made ("This graph represents how cute a girl is vs. how long I'll listen to her talk about how intuitive her cat is..."), "Art", and even some animation, it's laugh out loud hilarious and worth watching twice.
Criticism? The stage play of "Where my comedy goes" could have been cut, or at least cut down. It's amusing, but goes on a bit too long, hence, I give the DVD 4 instead of 5 stars. An excellent show by perhaps the next superstar comic!

(More customer reviews)Volume 13 of the terrifically funny comedy, "Are You Being Served?" is fust as good as the other 11. This episode features the last five episodes, "The Hold Up" which receives 4 out of 5 stars. "Gambling Fever" which receives 2 out of 5 stars. "The Night Club" which receives 5 out of 5. "Friends and Neighbours" which receives 5 out of 5 and "The Pop Star" which receives 5 out of 5. These episodes are featured in originally appearance on BBC1 in Britian and the series finale, "The Pop Star" , in which the staff perform "Chanson D'amour" is a must-see for all AYBS? fans. Although the packaging states the episodes are from 1985, they were actually made in 1984 and shown in 1985. (Just a little something hard-core fans might want to know). I highly recommend this DVD as well as the rest. So buy the Complete Collection (Seasons 1-10) for only $159.99 only on Amazon.com.

(More customer reviews)Just for the information, Season Three (September 1978 - April 1979) was the highest in it's rating reaching 28th by oudience size out of the best 30 TV shows.
In 1978 Raj and Rerun graduated from High School and moved into a shared apartment nearby. While Raj Entered College and rerun went to work. Their new neighbors were Big Earl (Police Detective) and his son Little Earl.
Six years after the 3rd season the show returned with a new name "What's Happening now" with most of the original cast.
I hope they will release "WHAT'S HAPPINING NOW" show so we can have all of the 1980's seasons too. Thanks.

Martin - The Complete Fourth Season Review

(More customer reviews)I absolutely love Martin - the show and Martin himself. This, to me, is the best season - each episode is hilarious and I really enjoy watching it. I really love the fighting that goes on between Martin and Pam. They act like kids but keep coming up with fantastic insults.
I love the episode Cole On Ice where Martin gets Charles Barkley to appear on his talkshow, yet Cole ruins it and Charles backs out. There is even a special episode where Tisha Campbell hosts 'the best' of Martin throughout the beginning to the 100 episode. There's also the one where it's Martins birthday and there is a video message to him from Halle Berry and Chris Rock.
I think this is finally the season for the real comedy to shine through without some of the sillyness that previous seasons had. Now that I'm caught up on seasons 1-4, I'm hanging out for season 5 to be released. Can't wait - this is a brilliant show.

(More customer reviews)Martin - The Complete Fifth Season is the final season of this '90s hit show. It's pretty sad this funny sitcom only lasted five little seasons. Tisha Campbell is rarely seen, she had issues with Lawrence and would only finish the finale if Martin agreed to keep his distance from her. This season is bittersweet, they are still some hilarious moments but the cast who had excellent chemistry the first 4 seasons is now gone and you can feel it. I highly recommend purchasing this groundbreaking show, good memories!

This one is so anticipated, I'm sure folks will put aside some of their holiday shopping bucks to get this one! Everyone I know still enjoys the repeats of "Martin" on their local TV stations, or TV-One Cable network. One of those rare shows that even leave you laughing even after repeat viewings. Count me amongst the many who are glad it's finally getting its' due. Hopefully the successive season releases won't take nearly as long to be issued on DVD!

(More customer reviews)I have been wanting this DVD for a loooong time but I just hadn't gotten around to it. I'm glad I waited because now I have both seasons 1 and 2 for nearly the price of 1 season alone! I was a bit leery of ordering it since there was no photo available but since it shipped straight from amazon, I figured it was safe. Both DVDs arrived together in the normal packaging. The DVDs are great. I have already seen each episode! This has everything from Sheneneh's date with Kid (from Kid n play) to Martin's crazy trip to LA and his proposal to GIna. This was definitely a good buy for me.
