Don Knotts is a national treasure, one of the most naturally gifted comic actors the world has ever seen. As big a Don Knotts fan as I have always been, and as many times as I have seen all of the old episodes of The Andy Griffith Show, I had actually never seen any of Knotts' classic comedies from the late 1960s. This Reluctant Hero Pack has helped alleviate this problem. Sure, I could have spent four times as much money and acquired each of these four films on individual DVDs, but frugality is one of the many small-town American virtues Don Knotts' characters usually embodied. These films have been compressed so that they will all fit on one double-sided DVD, but there is nothing wrong with the picture quality of this disk whatsoever. It's not like you're missing out on any special features on the individual offerings, either; unfortunately, there are also next to no special features on this Reluctant Hero pack - all you get are three of the four films' trailers. Still, what matters are the films themselves, and you're guaranteed to have over six and a half hours of unadulterated laughter with these four Don Knotts classics.
The four films included here are not necessarily Don Knotts' best four movies, but each of them is hilarious. The Ghost and Mr. Chicken puts Don Knotts inside a haunted house overnight. Remember how funny that haunted house episode of The Andy Griffith Show was? Well, this film is even funnier. It also features the lovely Joan Staley as the object of affection of Knotts' character. His character, by the way, is a truly reluctant hero, one whose heroics and honesty are put to an extreme test. Then you have The Reluctant Astronaut, which I consider to be the funniest of the four films included here. Knotts plays a grown man who goes off - very reluctantly - to become an astronaut - despite the fact that he is terrified of heights. Once he gets to Houston, he finds out his job is actually that of a janitor rather than a spaceman, and he is forced to live a lie because he is afraid to admit the truth to his proud father. Just when everything falls apart for him, though, he gets the chance to put everything right - if he can muster up the courage to answer the heroic call.
The Shakiest Gun in the West pits Knotts in the role of a newly graduated dentist who goes West to spread oral hygiene along the frontier. Along the way, he finds himself suddenly married to a mysterious redhead with all sorts of secrets. Despite his obvious weaknesses in the gun-fighting department (they call this film The Shakiest Gun in the West for a reason), he finds himself celebrated as a fierce Indian-killer and hero of the West. At the time, he doesn't realize how undeserving he is of the respect he garners, but he does get the chance to prove himself a true hero in the end.
The last of the four films included here, The Love God, is unlike any other Don Knotts film. This was a film way ahead of its time, as it addresses issues of sexual behavior and censorship head-on in an hysterically satirical manner. Knotts plays a timid publisher of a bird magazine who somehow ends up becoming famous as the country's premier playboy and smut peddler, the very standard bearer of the forces of the sexual revolution. This film has garnered a retroactive PG-13 rating, so it is not quite the true family film that the three other movies are, but there is nothing here that the most sheltered five-year-old hasn't already seen and heard in this day and age.
Why am I even trying to give a quick description of these films? This is, after all, Don Knotts we're talking about, so you know good and well these movies are basically guaranteed to be hilarious. Don't deny yourself - especially at this price - of the enjoyment of four classic films from one of America's funniest and most beloved comic actors.

So..like many of us ..I already owned much of this material and spent the money to get everything in one nice box and the extra 1hr interview...
was it worth it? well, I have mixed feelings..
I have to rate this 5 stars because it is George and it is classic stuff.
It does NOT have George's Best Stuff , the dvd on the complete George Carlin box set...which while it is a best of ...also has an all time classic bit on "STUFF" from the Comic Relief special ....which is NOT in this set..called "All My Stuff"...so its a minor point but a frustration.
George is the greatest standup of all time and not only funny, but he makes you THINK....and that is his special gift and I've been a fan since my high school days ,which coincided with his early little David releases that preceed this set.
enjoy...and was it worth it to spend all that money for the extra 1 hour interview...for me ..Yes.

People can piss and moan about plot and structure and character but when you've got a film like this one you should put those things aside and watch the movie for what it is, a very well done comedy about mistaken identity. The idea may be cliche but with Bill Murray's comic timing and prowess, it doesn't matter if the idea has been used a thousand times. This movie made me laugh from start to finish. Why? Because it is a comedy. If it makes you laugh, its doing its job. Murray delivered a hillarious performance as did Alfred Molina and the old British Bad guy(don't know his name). His brother played by Peter Gallagher was also surprisingly funny in his scenes. A comic gem that should be given more credit.

Jo Koy: Don't Make Him Angry (2009)

Love this guy. This special is funny, but it could have been longer. 42 minutes? I can't pay the price of a full DVD for 42 minutes of material. Same with Ron White's "You Can't Fix Stupid": Great material, but only 42 minutes?
There are standup comedy DVDs out there by comedians like Christopher Titus, Ralphie May, Pablo Francisco, even Ron White... that are 70, 80, 90+ minutes of material... THAT is something I might pay full price for, but 42? No.
If this DVD goes on sale sometime for 6.99 or something, it would be a bargain. The material is quite funny and not bad for his first time out. Remember, he's only started to make it big just recently. He's opened for a lot of great comedians, he's been on Chelsea Lately... he even did commentary for I Love the 80's. But this is his first big special, so the length is forgivable... Here's hoping he will have more material for his next one.

Wanda Sykes - Sick and Tired (2006) Review

Wanda Sykes - Sick and Tired (2006)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Highly recommended, SICK AND TIRED (2006) is comedic great, Wanda Sykes's first solo HBO special. Filmed in Seattle's Moore Theater before a crowd that howls with laughter for the entire 60-minute performance, it was directed by the legendary Keith Truesdell.
In it, Sykes perfectly delivers the hilarious persona she's developed over years of appearing on Curb Your Enthusiasm and The Chris Rock Show, to name just a few of her performances. Like a female curmudgeon, Sykes bemoans her unique frustrations with life, Medicare, politicians, scientists, old people, men and everything in between, including NASA.
In the craziest, cranky-baby voice, Sykes steps out of the traditional funny girl role played by popular comediennes like Ellen DeGeneres, Sarah, Silverman, Margaret Cho and Mo'Nique. Instead she offers the viewer an insider's look into a woman's mind - from an almost male perspective. But it's not like she's remotely masculine herself.
Supremely feminine, Sykes is a girl's girl: sassy, blunt, confident, practical and an extraordinary wordsmith. Naturally inclined toward confessing every disturbing thought a woman could ever have, she is a goldmine of information for men interested in decoding how women really think. And for women, she is the fantasy best friend: smart, chatty and undoubtedly a great chick to hit the town with.
Watching SICK AND TIRED makes me realize that getting to know Wanda Sykes is like learning to use the Internet. In no time at all, you wonder how you ever lived without her.

Jim Gaffigan: King Baby (2009) Review

Jim Gaffigan: King Baby (2009)
Average Reviews:

Mortal men might be ashamed at their pudginess, laziness, and gastronomical obsession, but not Jim Gaffigan. Instead, Gaffigan uses these characteristics as punchlines that have surely earned him hundreds of dollars as he travels the country to inform the masses how much of a pig he is, and how they pretty much are too. Fresh off his widely successful Beyond the Pale DVD, released in 2006, Jim Gaffigan has decided to once again grace us with his shockingly pale presence in his newest DVD, King Baby.
Filmed during a stint in Austin, Texas, King Baby is perhaps best used as a pedagogical tool. In it we learn the wonders of meat, the absurdities of camping, and the sheer genius of the escalator and snooze bar. Of course, this is not all as there are many other topics discussed to both gladden the heart and inform the mind.
Most known for his "Hot Pockets" bit, Gaffigan spends most of his time on stage talking about food in ways both memorable and ethereal. After spending a little over an hour at the feet of this master of burlesque, the student will no doubt desire to adorn all food with bacon (or at least the most magical form of bacon: the bits of bacon), only achieving perfection if done while lounging on the couch and watching television at the same time.
In addition to the main feature, this disc also contains many insightful extras. These include Comedy Central commercials for both the Beyond the Pale and King Baby specials, interviews with the baron of jest himself, PSAs for "Our Massive Planet," and three "Pale Force" animated shorts.

The greatly anticipated follow up to the platinum selling Beyond the Pale. In this Austin performance that capped off the 2008 sold-out stand up tour, Gaffigan does not let the audience catch their breath. This all-new show proves no other comedian working today can romanticize laziness and over-indulgence like Jim Gaffigan.

The Pink Panther Film Collection (The Pink Panther / A Shot in the Dark / Strikes Again / Revenge of / Trail of) (1964)
Average Reviews:

Having been a fan of "The Pink Panther" series from childhood, I was ecstatic that this set was being released, as the films are otherwise out of print on DVD (although luckily I still have my trusty VHS copies in reserve). I am tempted to give the set five stars simply because it is a wonderful day to see these films back in print, but realistically I had to take it down a notch as there a couple of negative considerations, the most obvious of which, of course, is the absence of "Return of the Pink Panther" from the collection, ostensibly because of legal hang-ups. Whatever the cause, the absence of the first of the 1970s-era "Panthers" is sorely missed. The other minor negative is the relative absence of special features on the movie DVDs, although the original "Pink Panther" has a wonderful trivia track. I would have really loved commentary tracks with Blake Edwards and some of the actors. I am somewhat ambivalent on the extremely unusual packaging the set comes in. It is hard to adequately describe the case, but suffice it to say that removing half of the DVDs is annoyingly difficult, although it looks very stylish.
On the positive end, you get four great "Panther" movies and the bodged-together "Trail of the Pink Panther", plus a disk of extras. Some people have dismissed the extras disk as inconsequential, but I rather enjoyed it. I particularly liked the documentary "The Pink Panther Story" which was heavy on interviews and insight. I had no idea that Sellers hated "A Shot in the Dark", whereas I (and many others) think it is a perfect movie in every way. I knew that Sellers could be somewhat Mercurial to work with, but I had no idea, for instance, that he had certain colors that he would not tolerate around him, and in fact made the producers of one of the movies once repaint a train because he couldn't stand the color! Also on the disk is a documentary about the animated Panther, which is quite interesting, as well as several of the short subject cartoons, which seem selected at random. They did include the Oscar winning "Pink Phink", the first cartoon short of the Pink Panther, which was an excellent choice. "Psychedelic Pink" included an annoying laugh track, and "Pinkfinger" was one of the weaker of the cartoons, which I have great recollection of from childhood. Interestingly enough, there are two related subject cartoons, one each of the Ant and the Aardvark, and The Inspector (in a fairly weak episode) to round out the extra disk.
This is a great set overall, with just a couple of things bringing it down to a four rating. I recommend it to all "Panther" fans everywhere, and to anyone who loves to laugh.

I caught this twice on TV and both times was laughing so hard it hurt. I just had to buy it so I could show it to more people. We must watch it at home at least a couple times a month now, and show it to everyone we can. Gaffigan is a genius in this: he is so funny, discusses so many common themes for his jokes (laziness, eating) with only a couple insinuating jokes that might be innappropriate, otherwise very clean-cut and not filled with bad language like so many other comedians. I am so glad I bought this, it has been so worth it and gotten so much time from my DVD player. We are always quoting from this, just so much of it is so true! You will love it and not be sad you spent the small price to buy it. There are some cute special features too, but the routine is the best part.

Under the white guy "everyman" exterior lurks one of the cleverest original comedians of today. An established star in standup comedy and a frequent guest on the late shows of David Letterman and Conan O'Brien, Jim Gaffigan is a noted actor as well, from comedic turns in Super Troopers, That 70s Show and Sex and the City to dramatic roles in dozens of films and TV dramas. But here his unique comedy persona takes over -- cantankerous but endearing, clean but cutting, with an irrepressible "inside voice" that keeps wickedly popping out - to the delight of the audience in Chicago's historic Vic Theater. And now you can share their guffaws.

The Marx Brothers Silver Screen Collection (The Cocoanuts / Animal Crackers / Monkey Business / Horse Feathers / Duck Soup) (1930) Review

The Marx Brothers Silver Screen Collection (The Cocoanuts / Animal Crackers / Monkey Business / Horse Feathers / Duck Soup) (1930)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
The Marx Brothers hit their peak with "Duck Soup". Sure, "A Night at the Opera" and "A Day at the Races" were both bigger box office hits and, while both those latter films have their moments they just can't quite compete with the inspired anarchy of "Duck Soup". Let's start with the positives first. It doesn't look like most of the films have any footage missing as near as I can tell. Sure, some of the editing still looks ragged but most of their early films (and films from that era for that matter) have that "look". The first three movies are a bit static looking (since the first two were based on their stage plays that's not a surprise--they look like photographed stage plays). With "Monkey Business" and "Horse Feathers" The Marx Brothers began to develop a style that was a bit more cinematic. All five films are essential for fans.
Now the bad news. Universal has been slapping together boxed sets lately of older films and TV series with little to no extras and without any effort at restoration. They're where Warner Brothers was about 6 years ago. The prints often don't look as sharp as they could and there's plenty of analog blemishes to muddy up the picture as well. Digitally many of these flaws could easily be corrected on these prints. Since the original negatives are long gone (they were shot on nitrate stock. Nitrate stock is quite unstable begins to disintegrate and shrink after a couple of decades). Unfortunately, we're left with prints that are several generations removed from the original negatives which means that these will probably never look perfect. Could they look better? Absolutely as there's been minimal effort to clean them up and none of them look as if there has been an effort to restore them. "Horse Feathers" still appears to be missing some material (unfortunately most of it is probably permanently lost)that probably could have been restored from foreign prints.
The extras are a bit skimpy at best. We get some older "The Today Show" interviews. There's no documentary on The Marx Brothers career, the challenges they faced in reaching an audience and why, ultimately, MGM put them under contract only to dilute their best qualities. I'm also disappointed that there's no audio commentary. Surely former UCLA Professor Howard Suber would have been available to do a commentary on these terrific films? What about vintage newsreels discussing the previews of their movies?
While I appreciate the book, the introductory essay is skimpy. The quotes of Groucho from various films and images from the films/posters was a bright idea it's just that Universal didn't go far enough. A nice short documentary incorporating the interviews included here would have been nice. I appreciate the idea of the book but I also wish that it could be removed from as it is a bit cumbersome in the middle of the accordian style set. Still, the design of the set is quite nice.
I give the films 5 stars for the quality of these classics but 2 stars for the inferior presentation from Universal. It's a pity as Warner has most of the lesser Marx movies but did a marvelous job of restoring them and adding extras including commentaries to them. Considering that Universal has a great restoration department and that they've done a marvelous job of restoring Hitchcock's classic films "Rear Window" and "Vertigo", I'm really disappointed that more effort wasn't made here. It's an example of Hollywood not valuing its past.

It was funny and most important free of the many Bleep - bleep - bleeps that you find in most stand up acts these days. He was truly funny without bieng profane which is why I will buy the dvd (I hope the extra footage is equally as clean) Whats funny is I have to buy the DVD in order to le t my friends or teenager watch it because the commercials on Comedy Central are so bad...EVERY commercial break featured "Girls Gone Wild" (Naked women jumping around with litte censoring) and live girl party chat lines.....so I will not suggest anyone watch it on Comedy Central....but I gave the actual video Six BIG stars. The still photos on the inside let us remember some of the funnier scenes. Each disc has the episode name, air date and a brief description of the episode. NBC, Komut Entertainment and 3 Sisters should be VERY proud of the presentation.

Not all "tea and crumpets" this or "jolly good" that, this comedy sketch series brings us two actors who morph into a myriad of more than one hundred and twenty different characters -- all who would give the Queen heart palpitations and are guaranteed to bring laughter to your living room. Although still foreign to most Americans these characters and their infectious catch phrases are already imbedded in the British lexicon. The whole show relies heavily on these character catch phrases and scenes full of running jokes repeating and trumping themselves in different contexts -- much similar to how real British `characters' act in real life just personified and embellished here by the amazingly diverse Matt Lucas and David Willams. Just reading the lines, situations, descriptions, and catch phrases won't do much for you. It's Matt and David's ability to bring these characters to life that will leave you laughing and repeating the lines with your friends. Walk into a pub, or grammar school, or store in Britain and you'll certainly hear many of them repeated. Share this series with your friends and you'll have a whole new vocabulary to share. A selection of characters follows:
"I want that one."
Not-so-wheelchair-bound Andy, and his long-suffering, volunteer caregiver Lou are the favorite characters of many. Although the formula for their running gag is always predictable, that's the point. Will Andy ever learn Lou knows what he wants better than he does himself? Will Lou ever stop enabling Andy' s strange whims? Will Lou ever discover Andy doesn't need the wheelchair Lou's been pushing all these years? Probably not, and that running gag is the recipe for their relationship and humor. The boys up the ante early on in the running gag department when Lou memorably takes Andy to the public pool.
"Yeahbutnobutyeahbutnobut, Shut up!"
Juvenile delinquent Vicky Pollard whose fast talking and nearly incomprehensible speech patter will have you grabbing for the remote to enable to subtitles option. Unlike Brits who watched this show on BBC, you'll actually be able to find out what she's rambling about. She'd swap her baby for a "boy band" CD and stabs out a cigarette in each episode. Part of the humor is the adults around her still trying to treat her babbling as normal communication and obviously missing some of the outrageous things that come out of her mouth -- things you'll just be able to catch. She's every parent's worst nightmare and is one character you definitely have to experience for yourself.
"I am the only gay in the village."
Dafydd is convinced, despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary, that he is the only gay in his small mining village of Llanddewi Brefi. The most funny part of these sketches aren't the sight gags of Dafydd's rotund body sausaged into the next rubber/mesh/pleather outfit (each one more outrageous than the last) and the village people's indifference to his appearance in them, though you'll definitely laugh out loud at their sight. It's the small mining townspeople's comfort level at saying the most colored, cheeky, and outrageous things to Dafydd while conversing with him. Although everyone in the village tries to identify other gays for Dafydd to socialize with, Dafydd's self-identity is based around being "the only gay in the village" and keeps him isolated from some really good fun.
"The Prime Minister is Gorgeous!"
Government Aide Sebastian who is hopelessly in love with his boss the Prime Minister of Great Britain (expertly played by Anthony Head) gets it's humor from the audience trying to decide if the PM is aware of Sebastian's obvious crush and trying to decipher his dead pan looks. Each time Sebastian goes further over the line, you're convinced a sacking is next on the agenda.
"Eh, eh, ehhh."
Anne the perhaps-not-so-mental patient in the Stephen Speilburg Hospital is under the watchful care of Dr. Morris. While `innocently' destroying everything around him/her, can only utter the phrase eh, eh, ehhh . . . unless talking on the cellphone with friends.
"Mayyyyybe yes, mayyyybe no."
The looney Innkeeper of the Ye Olde Hotel in Scotland and his magic flute. He can never give you a straight answer to your questions but will punctuate his responses with a few puffs on his flute. The humor lies in the fact that everyone in Scotland acts like this, right?
"Dust is low in fat so you can eat as much dust as you like."
Marjorie Dawes is the less than slender leader of the local chapter of Fat Fighters. In what can only be described as misdirected self-loathing she viciously belittles the members of her weight loss group who still keep coming back week after week. How this woman keeps her job is unknown. The acid interaction she has with the ever returning members of the group, especially Mira and Paul, provides the most humor.
Other reoccurring characters don't have catch phrases but still have their running gags nonetheless. Just a selection of these follow:
The schoolteacher at Kelsey Grammar school who confuses his students more than teaching them . . . Royal correspondent Peter Andr' who is in love with Princess Anne and also not right in the head . . . a quick peek behind the writing process will have you wondering how Dame Sally Markham ever became a famous novelist . . . Hypnotist Kenny Craig who is not afraid to use his talents to get whatever he wants. Just be careful not to look into his eyes . . .the former actor Sir Bernard Chumley who eats his invalid sister Kitty's Meals on Wheels. "I didn't push her," he claims even when not asked . . . Edward Grant is the schoolteacher who married one of his former pupils Samantha and still treats her as such. . . Dennis Waterman the pint sized actor who insists on writing and performing his own awful sounding theme tunes. The humor here is in the running "scale of objects" gag . . . Denver Mills the Olympic medalist who should really forget his new career in speech giving and stick to running . . . Des Kaye the ex-children's television star who's not adjusting well to loosing his show and taking a job at the "Do It Yourself" shop.
Other characters include Emily Howard the unconvincing transvestite who "is a lady and likes ladies things" still utters one of the most memorable and more quotable (though sadly not printable here) lines in the show when he's told before an getting an x-ray he must cover his `meat and two vedge' with a lead shield. "But I'm a lady," he protests, "I don't have (insert feminized version of `two vegetables' here). Jason, the bloke who fancies his friend' Gary's grandmother in the worst way is soooo wrong, very wrong, but you're compelled to watch anyway. Most of these skits veer deeply into the PG-13 category so you'd want to pack the little ones off to bed before breaking it out or you'll have you toddler repeating the most embarrassing phrases.
While the intro to each weekly episode is the same visually, it's the different voiceovers narrated by Tom Baker, of Dr. Who fame, that will elicit quite a chuckle. Baker introduces each sketch in a funny voiceover as well and closes each episode after a funny version of the latest, failed world record attempt. Baker's voiceovers are the glue that tie the whole show together and are just as humorous as the skits themselves.
For those of you who like Bonus features, you will not be disappointed here. There is a commentary track for each episode on this disk by Matt and David; surprisingly deadpan, you may miss the humor if you're not listening carefully. Also included are the Pilot Episode, Deleted Scenes, a hysterical television interview with Matt and David, a "Character Playlist" that will allow you to view an edited version of some of your favorite character's sketches in their running order. One warning when selecting "Lou & Andy." You'll have to tell Lou "Yes" twice that you want to "crash the disc" but NOT three times or your disc will indeed crash (it's not permanent). Try it once if you like and then simply eject the disc and reinsert to go back to the main menu. In the "Extras" section on the second disc, you'll get to see what Matt and David were up to prior to this series when you view the "Best of Rock Profiles" -- hilarious non-impressions of famous (and some local British) musical artists. "How to Make a Little Britain" is the behind-the-scenes feature that chronicles the filming of all eight episodes over the time span of 40 days. The "Teenage Cancer Trust Sketches" are fun to watch and the "Radio 5 Interview" will give you more inside scoop. "What Does Britain Mean to You?" is a collection of man-on-the-street interviews with the characters humorously answering the question while poking fun at themselves in the process.

Don't get me wrong, I think John Pinette is the Funniest Man on Earth. I saw the edited version of this DVD last night on Comedy Central. John is repeating too much material from his prior DVD and CD. Great stuff, very funny, but I say NAY NAY---you've done it before, John! You need more new material. I'm buying this anyway, but please retire "Free Willy" and "Fat Man at the Water Park"!

Will & Grace - Series Finale (1998) Review

Will and Grace - Series Finale (1998)

I very much enjoyed the Will & Grace finale last night. The only quibble I had was that I thought the final scene with Rosario was a little mean-spirited, if in keeping with her and Karen's generally adversarial relationship. That's about it as far as negatives for me. (I was also hoping we'd finally get more of a glimpse of Stan than his feet, but maybe in the reunion show...)
I liked the scene with the guy in the body cast, who "came out" with the same revelation as we've seen happen with other characters in the show. In that sense, he reminded me of the guy who was sitting next to Will that time that he and Leo went to a sports event. And there have been others like those two as well.
I was okay with the story taking those several big jumps into the future. It sort of reminded me of all those films that end with text on the screen describing what eventually happened to each character. American Graffiti is the one that comes to mind, although I've seen that same technique in numerous other films. It was very satisfying to see some of those events portrayed on the screen rather than just to read about them.
I didn't have a big problem with Will & Grace losing touch with each other for those many years. Believing that could happen to two such good friends did require some sort of suspension of disbelief. And, then again, that kind of thing does happen in real life, and their long separation from each other also served to set up the situation with their becoming reunited under the unusual circumstances that they did, as well as their becoming relatives (and I thought the two actors who portrayed their college-age children were absolutely perfect, by the way). And on the plus side, it was nice to see that Will and Grace were able to find truly fulfilling relationships (with Vince and Leo respectively), something which no doubt contributed to their losing touch with each other.
Still, the highlight of the program was the final three scenes, all of which brought us full circle from the first episode. I couldn't watch any of them dry-eyed.
First there was the beautiful Karen-Jack scene with their singing of "Unforgettable," which has already been commented on several times here, and which ended with the two of them repeating a gesture that was part of their first scene together.
Then there was the wonderful Grace-Will telephone scene that mirrored the very first scene of the series. They were both watching the same television program they had been watching 20 years ago (talk about suspension of disbelief!), and some of the dialogue was identical, as well as a reference to one particular actor from that program.
The final scene took place in the same setting as the final scene of the first program, with Will choosing it as the place for the four of them to meet as he recalled what happened when they were there the last time. His reference to the other characters who were in the original scene brought to mind all the wonderful guests, both one-time and recurring, who have been a part of the program since its beginning. And then the last program ended with a kiss between the two title characters, just as the first program did.
The four leads appeared on the Today show the morning of the final program. When Katie Couric (one of the many guests on Will & Grace over the years) asked them if they were satisfied with the final episode, Eric McCormack said that it was ambitious and went far beyond the endings of most sitcoms. I found the ending completely satisfying, and just a reminder of how much I'm going to miss this modern-day version of Lucy and Ricky and Fred and Ethel. Thank goodness that we have eight years of reruns of this ground-breaking show to always enjoy.
